The Kingdom is bird flu free, Ministry of Agriculture announced on Sunday.
The ministry cited Animal Health Organization's weekly bulletin declaring the Kingdom free from the disease, the Saudi Press Agency said.
The ministry patted itself in the back for its efforts in eradicating the disease since it first broke out in Al-Kharj.
The ministry said it has taken various necessary measures and precautions according to an emergency plan. The ministry has directed poultry breeders and producers to continue implementing intensive precautionary measures to prevent the recurrence of the disease. The ministry also called on poultry farm owners, citizens and expatriates to approach the Operations Room in the ministry on any suspicious case of bird flu.
