Fida Haris, a victim of callousness? DAMMAM – A 6-year-old student of International Indian School in Dammam (IISD) died of suffocation and heat after she was left locked inside a private school van Sunday. It is believed that the child, Fida Haris of Upper Kindergarten, dozed off and the van driver did not notice her. When the driver opened the van in the afternoon to carry children back home, he found the child dead in the vehicle. Fida Haris is the second daughter of Mohammed Haris and Sajna from the southern Indian state of Kerala. Fida started her school in April as she was directly admitted to Upper Kindergarten. She has a sister studying in Grade 5 in IISD. Fida's body has been kept at the Astoon Hospital morgue.
