The Pakistan International School (PISJ - Girls Section) in Jeddah's Aziziya District held its annual prize distribution for the school session 2009-2010. The wife of the Link Officer of the Consulate General of Pakistan, Jeddah, Mrs. Naushaba Akmal Saeed, was the chief guest. Mrs. Salma Shah Khan, Vice Principal, said that the school has upheld its reputation by attaining 95.36 percent overall pass percentage. Out of 1,107 students, from Grade V to Grade VIII, who took the tests, 1,057 passed the final examination. The school also held Intra- and inter-school Qur'an recitation competition, dramas, spelling bee, writing competition, debate in Urdu and English, science quiz and science, fine arts and home economics exhibitions, she said. A colorful program titled ‘My Mother, ‘Dosti', as well as national and folk songs and comedy skits were presented by the students. Marfa Naseem, of Grade V secured the highest mark 94.3%. Samia Akbar, Fatima Shahid and Noora Salam of Grade VIII, finished in the first, second and third positions respectively. Huda, stood first, Kashmala and Alia both stood second and Wardah stood third in class VII. Sidra, Saleha, Maheen of class VI secured first, second and third positions respectively. Muneer and Asma finished second and third respectively behind Marfa in class V. Mrs. Noshaba Akmal Saeed, the Chief Guest, distributed the prizes to the students.
