The Saudi Special Forces have added to their arsenal the German-made state-of-the-art GRW60 missile to help in the fight against terrorism. General Muhammad Al-Wahhas, Commander of the anti-terrorist Security and Protection Force at the Special Forces, said the new weapon was entering service for the first time and described it as being “highly accurate” and of “superlative target destruction capacity”. “It has a penetrative and exploding warhead, and can be set up and operated inside buildings and in an area of only three meters,” Al-Wahhas said. Saudi Special Forces have recently concluded a comprehensive two-year training program during which officers and privates were also equipped and instructed in the use of advanced armor and weaponry such as G91 sniper rifles, machine guns, night-vision binoculars and laser technology.
