Timochin Hasan and Abdulaziz Al-Fuhaid claimed the top berth in the 24th World-wide Bridge contest recently. Playing North-South in the championship organized by the affiliate of the American Contract Bridge Circle Cone 4 in Dhahran, the Timochin-Abdulaziz pair proved their prowess to clinch the honors. The tournament, an annual event, was played on June 4, with pre-set hands. This event was held under the auspices of World Bridge Federation. After the tournament, each player was given a booklet, where each hand was analyzed by bridge experts. Timochin has written a number of articles on bridge. Some had appeared in the Saudi Gazette in cartoon format where he incorporated bridge conventions under the caption “Bridge? I Don't Know Son.” Timochin, who is the Business Development Manager of the Al-Toga Group of companies and Hamad S.
