The sons of the Kingdom's martyrs have been taken to visit the sites on the border where the battles took place with the Houthi infiltrators a few months ago. The trip to the border areas was organized by the Ministry of Education in coordination with the Armed Forces in Jizan. Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah, Minister of Education, ordered that the tour take place to inform the sons about the heroism and sacrifice of their fathers. This stems from Prince Faisal's belief that a hero is born among hundred, a wise man is found among a thousand but an accomplished one might not be found among a hundred thousand men. The Ministry of Education program, under the motto “Reaction and Patriotism”, is also meant to teach the younger generations about the principles of patriotism. The martyrs' sons came from all over the Kingdom to tour all the battlefields along the border separating the Kingdom and Yemen. They also stood on top of Mounts Al-Remah, Al-Doud, Dokan and Jafan. They also visited the Command and Control headquarters from where the battles were run; and the memorial plaque where officers fell and were buried. The Armed Forces in Jizan has built the memorial plaque on the peak of Mount Al-Remah. Col. Abdulrahman Al-Qahtani from the Armed Forces in Jizan explained to the sons how the battles took place and what part their fathers played in purging the Kingdom of the infiltrators. They also made a tour of the museum built by the Control and Command in commemoration of the brave fathers. The museum also showcases some of the weapons used in the war against the infiltrators and the weapons captured from them. At the end of the tour, Major General Hussein Malawi, the Armed Forces Commander in Jizan, addressed the sons and highlighted the importance of the visit. He said it embodies the connection between the leadership and the people; and also demonstrates the care and concern of the government towards the families of the martyrs.
