Geordie duo Ant and Dec and “Britain's Got Talent” scooped their first British Academy Film and Television Awards (Baftas) Sunday. Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, both 35, who have been nominated six times during their 20-year television career, finally picked up the award for fronting “I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!” Both joked about how long it had taken them to win an award. “You feed a couple of kangaroo testicles to a glamor model and you get a Bafta,” Ant said as they accepted the Entertainment Performance award. Britain's Got Talent won for best Entertainment Program, beating Baftas host Graham Norton's eponymous BBC1 show and Simon Cowell was honored with a Special Award for his contributions to television. Cowell comforted a disappointed Norton saying: “It's not about winning, it's about taking part.” In the acting categories, Julie Walters, 60, won her sixth Bafta for her portrayal of the late Labour politician Mo Mowlam in “Mo”. Kenneth Branagh, 49, landed his first Bafta in the Leading Actor category for his performance as a grumpy Swedish detective in BBC television's “Wallander”.
