A school headmaster here is under investigation for allegedly beating a student, cutting his hair and dismissing him from school. The probe is being conducted by the Boys' Education Administration in Makkah. This is after the boy's father filed a complaint. Dr. Muhammad Al-Shamrani, Assistant Director of Education in Makkah, said a special committee has been formed to investigate the incident and question the parties concerned. He said this is in line with the ministry's regulations. Muhammad Al-Otaibi, the boy's father, claimed: “I was surprised to find my son at home early. He had the marks of a beating on his body, his hair had been cut in a disfiguring way by the school headmaster in front of the students and he was subjected to inhumane verbal and physical violence.”
