The security authorities have seized a total of SR75,000 in cash found in raids on the residences of allegedly illegal expatriate workers in Buraidah's Khubaib District Monday. Of this total, SR20,000 was found in the possession of an Asian worker who was caught in a chase on the roof of the building where he was staying. When the security officers conducted a search of the worker's house, they found other amounts hidden in milk packs. They also found SR55,000 in the possession of another worker. Several security and services agencies had organized raids in downtown Buraidah, which is populated by large numbers of expatriate workers. The raids are meant to counter crime in the area. Khaled Al-Mansour, Director of the Social Development Center in Al-Qassim, said the campaign targeted locations that had been kept under surveillance. He pointed out that officers arrested a number of violators and found equipment used for copying pornographic films and video-clips. The security authorities are conducting investigations to determine the source of the money found on the workers.
