A group of five persons has confessed to kidnapping a 30-year-old man, tying him up and torturing him with an electric cable, police have said. Police in Saihat said that the victim was taken to farmland on the outskirts of the town and held for a day before managing to escape his abductors and reporting the incident. “We are still investigating the motives behind the incident,” a police spokesman said.
