The Ministry of Labor's electronic portal now allows more businesses and other establishments to register their expatriate workers online, it was revealed Sunday. The ministry's Undersecretary for Planning and Development, Dr. Mufarrij Bin Saad Al-Haqbani, said the service allows the registration of new workers using information from the Ministry of Interior. He said the service has been available for registered establishments and has had a positive impact on the ministry's labor offices and other services. He added that this is one of a number of electronic services the ministry is introducing through its electronic gateway project launched recently, with links to the Ministry of Interior. Now establishments can register information of their new workers, have work permits issued and pay fees without the need to visit the labor office.
