Under the patronage of Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz, President of the Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Development (AGFUND) and honorary president of Ebsar Charity Association, Ebsar is launching a campaign under the title “Education and rehabilitation of the visual impaired” at the InterContinental Hotel on Monday. Dr. Mohammed Ballow, general secretary of the charity group, said the campaign aims to support the visually impaired people through provision of teaching aids in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and to increase their scientific and professional skills. The nationwide campaign will include all the visually challenged students as well as old people. Dr. Ballow said the campaign is providing financial assistance to the visually challenged, such as for surgical operations, in cooperation with various companies and eyewear distributors.
