Qaeda statement posted Thursday manifests the group's failure and weakness which has made it resort to issuing threats, said Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah Aal Al-Sheikh, the Kingdom's Grand Mufti and Chairman of the Board of Senior Ulama. The Grand Mufti was commenting on the Al-Qaeda threats to carry out kidnappings in Saudi Arabia to avenge the arrest of a female supporter. Aal Al-Sheikh hoped that these threats will be ‘empty words'. The Grand Mufti asked the khateebs of mosques to warn people against such deviant ideology. “We are a Muslim nation so we have to challenge this group and continue on our principles and values. We should never accept to be humiliated and we should not in any way sympathize with the deviant group or listen to them.
