The annual ITP awards this year selected two prestigious Saudi companies in their respective fields of specialization as the recepient of “Best Company” awards. Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) was voted as the “Best Company in Industrial Building Materials” for the Saudi business sector in 2010 by ITP Publishing Group. Mobily has been named as the best telecommunications company in Saudi Arabia for the year 2010. The awarding ceremony was held at Alfaysaliah Hotel in Riyadh. ITP awards for this year honored 17 companies of different business sectors in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Faysal Alaquil, director of Business Development for CPC International, accepted the award on behalf of CPC from Waleed Akawi, CEO of ITP Publishing Group. Dr. Alaquil expressed the company's pride for receiving the award, saying “this award will be a motivation for us to further work and achieve to the best interest of the construction products industry, which is our specialty, and where we achieved notable success.” He shared the experience of CPC in the area of construction products, and how their concept of industrial parks proved to be very effective and popular serving major clients seeking the convenience of all building materials produced in one location. He pointed out that CPC provides its clients with all their needs of construction materials, as well as other building requirements through its subsidiaries such as ready-mix, pre-cast concrete, steel, marble, granite, aluminum, glass, electric cables, electromechanical works, interior decoration, and GRC, in addition to the rental of construction equipment, transportation and warehousing, all aiming to provide these major construction materials and services under one umbrella. Mobily was selected based on its phenomenal profitability, runaway popularity and huge traffic on its state-of-the-art broadband network, all of which made Mobily the region's undisputed sector leader. Engineer Abdulaziz Altamami, Mobily's chief operating officer, received the award on behalf of the company's CEO, Khalid Al Kaf. Altamami said the honor is the fruit of the company's projects and strategic plans, as well as the innovative products and services it has on offer and its initiatives to bring the latest technologies to the Kingdom. “We are thrilled to have won this award, which joins shelves of national, regional and international recognitions won by Mobily,” he said. Altamami said Mobily's new five-year strategy will be the backbone of more achievements that will entail even more recognitions, because the strategy draws on detailed studies of future trends of the telecom sector in the region while going in line with global trends, which revolve around fixed and mobile broadband. Humoud Al-Ghobaini, Mobily's vice president for Corporate Communications and PR, also attended the function.
