The Ministry of Health has established four new specialist centers for treatment of AIDS patients in Madina, Asir, Ahsa and Northern Frontier. This is in addition to the already functioning centers in Riyadh, Jeddah, Eastern Province and Jizan. It is expected that the new centers will be operational next month. Meanwhile, Dr. Sami Badaud, Director of Health Affairs in Jeddah, said arrangements have been made for organizing a training course for doctors specialized in AIDS so as to develop their therapeutic skills and exchange experience. Dr. Badaud said King Saud Hospital in Jeddah is one of the most experienced centers specialized in the treatment of the fatal viral disease in the Kingdom. He pointed out that clinics in the hospital offer free consultation and voluntary medical examination to those who want to protect themselves from AIDS. – Okaz __
