Saudization top priority: Naif
Saudi Gazette report
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 25 - 05 - 2008

The government accords top priority to Saudization of vocational, technical and administrative jobs, Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Interior Minister, said here Friday night.
Patronizing the graduation ceremony of the 29th batch of the students of King Faisal University, Prince Naif said the concerns of the Saudi citizens is paramount for the government. He said all officials are committed to the well-being and welfare of the citizens adding that measures have been taken to ensure an honorable life for Saudi citizens in an atmosphere of security and stability.
Prince Muhammed Bin Fahd, Emir of the Eastern Province, Prince Jalawi Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Emir and Dr. Khaled Al-Anqari, Minister of Higher Education were also present at the ceremony.
This year 9,384 students have graduated from the university.
In efforts to Saudize more jobs, the government has expanded the general and higher education, as well as vocational education, Prince Naif said. He noted that Saudi universities and institutes have developed and diversified their programs and syllabi to meet the requirements of the labor market in a manner that realizes the ambitious development plans chalked out by the government and “conform with our creed and traditions without neglecting the swift developments taking place in the contemporary world in all aspects of life,” he said.
“The progress of our country in its present and future is bound with efforts of its sincere sons who have been exerting all efforts to develop their country scientifically, industrially and culturally. With the grace of Allah Almighty, you will lead our Kingdom to help assume a distinguished rank it deserves among the civilized nations,” Prince Naif told the graduating students.
Prince Naif underlined the great attention King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan have accorded to education pointing out that this stems from their strong belief that without education there would be no progress or development.
Following the ceremony, Prince Naif said the fence along the Saudi border with Iraq would be constructed soon. He also hoped that Saudis in Iraqi prisons would soon return to their country. In an answer to question on the beefing up of security at Kingdom's oil installations, Prince Naïf said the improved security does not mean that they are objects of terrorist attacks. He said vital installations all over the world are secured and as such nothing more should be read in the security boost at these installations. __
