year-old boy who died in a house fire in Al-Kuwait District on Saturday has said that he believes the blaze was arson. The man, whose wife and two-year-old son suffered smoke inhalation, has reportedly made an official complaint to police leading them to take over the case from the Civil Defense. The two-year-old was on artificial breathing apparatus in hospital on Sunday, his condition said to be “extremely serious”. The fire is believed to have broken out in a living room at the first floor apartment, and the Civil Defense said that fire crews had difficulty accessing the apartment due to the narrowness of the streets in the area.
