Budding Saudi inventors who participated in the recent Ibtikar 2010 exhibition could expose their talent to the international audience by participating in the eight-day Dusseldorf Exhibition in Germany starting Oct. 27. Ludwig Konig, Director of Marketing and Communication, currently visiting Saudi Arabia to promote Dusseldorf Exhibition or K-2010, said Saudi individuals with innovative products or companies could participate in the event expected to attract over 200,000 visitors from across the world. “There are certain criteria for the exhibitors to participate in the K-2010. The basic requirement is that the participant should be an exhibitor and has invented an innovative product,” he said. About 3,000 exhibitors are expected to participate in the event, he said. The high international representation among the 3,000 exhibitors that will participate in the Dusseldorf Exhibition guarantees that all segments will be reflected at world market level, he said. Since the participation of the companies would be so huge the K-2010 is currently engaged in developing a tool called ‘Innovation Compass', a device that will offer visitors specific products or new developments of their interest in the exhibition. “It would be practically impossible for the visitors with limited time to find a product of their choice or to find what's new in the exhibition. So, Innovation Compass will go live some six weeks before the trade fair opens and offers as search matrix for visitors to find innovations that can bring major improvements in life,” he said. The Riyadh Exhibition Company is the marketing agent in Saudi Arabia to promote Dusseldorf Exhibition 2010. Those interested to participate in the event can register themselves on www.recexpo.com.
