Students from the Eastern Province displayed their presentation skills during the Students' Fun Zone regional speech and talent contest held at Dammam TV Station at the weekend. The event will also be broadcast on Saudi Television Channel 2. Students' Fun Zone was established by Hanan El-Gibaly, a TV program writer, TV presenter and teacher at King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) girls school. It is dedicated to improving the communication skills of students of all ages from kindergarten to college. The program's objective is to encourage all participants to improve their public speaking, thinking, listening, artistic, dialogue, and presentation skills and talents, El-Gibaly told Saudi Gazette. Students from Manarat International School, Dhahran Ahliyya, The British School, Orbit International School, Majd International School and the International Schools Group-Dammam participated in many different contests, which included Radio Rabbits, Queen of Sound, King of Sound, Dream Time Tales, Countries of the World, Amazing Advertisements, Save the Animals, Talent Zone, My Favorite Speech/Poem and Quiz Zone. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners by Bonnie Alarcon from Prince Mohammed University, Dammam. The contests were evaluated and judged by Trevor Hunt and Dave Baptiste from Aramco, Julie Guzzardo from Prince Mohammed University and Magida Khawaja.
