Police said on Monday that they had detained a suspected prolific thief responsible for thefts from numerous shops and stores which he accessed through holes designed for air-conditioning units. Undercover officers were sent out to identify possible suspects for a series of thefts, predominantly of computers and electronic items, and observed a 19-year-old Arab male attempting to sell a computer of high value. The man – described as “thin” – was taken into custody and later confessed to having stolen the item, Jeddah Police spokesman Misfir Al-Ju'aid said. “We are investigating his links to a series of similar thefts of electronic goods stores,” Al
