Fatal bites blamed on recent floods

year-old woman in the remote region of Al-Salikiya in Wadi Al-Fajj has died after being bitten by a snake. Officials said that the victim was unable to reach hospital in time to receive the correct medical attention. In Hadaa', meanwhile, a 17-year-old died in hospital after he was bitten by a scorpion while an eight-year-old girl is reportedly in stable condition in hospital after being bitten by a snake. Residents of Hadaa' said there had been a noticeable rise in the number of reptiles in the area following recent flooding.
