Maria Sharapova beat Kristina Barrois of Germany 7-5, 6-1 in the Strasbourg International final Saturday to win her 22nd title. The top-seeded Russian trailed 5-3 in the first set before winning seven straight games. Sharapova, who is looking to get back to her best after recovering from a right elbow injury, broke twice in the first set and dropped serve once. The Russian broke the unseeded German twice more in the set set, closing out the match with a backhand winner. In the semifinals, Sharapova beat Julia Goerges of Germany 7-6 (2), 6-1 and Barrois outlasted Vania King of the United States 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 (6). Dulgheru defends title Romania's Alexandra Dulgheru successfully defended her WTA Warsaw Open title by beating Chinese fifth seed Zheng Jie 6-3, 6-4 in the final here Saturday. Dulgheru had seen off Ukrainian seventh seed Kateryna Bondarenko, whose sister Alona she beat in last year's final in the first round and defeated Zheng's third-seeded countrywoman Li Na in the last four. Gasquet wins Nice France's Richard Gasquet won the Nice Open when he beat Spaniard Fernando Verdasco 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 in the final Saturday. The unseeded Gasquet was trailing 3-0 in the decider but fought back to win 7-5 in the tiebreak.In the semifinals, Verdasco edged Leonardo Mayer of Argentina 7-6 (3), 7-5 and Gasquet beat Potito Starace of Italy 7-6 (1), 7-6 (6). Argentina wins Team Cup Juan Monaco and Horacio Zeballos won singles matches Saturday as Argentina beat the United States to win the World Team Cup for a fourth time. Monaco put the South Americans ahead by battling to a 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 win over Sam Querrey, and Zeballos sealed the victory in the best-of-three series when he overcame Robby Ginepri 6-4, 6-7, 7
