Saudi Telecom (STC) has again warned its subscribers against local and international telephone calls from unidentified persons asking for personal information, such as bank account numbers and other details. Recently there have been many cases of unidentified callers telling subscribers that they have won a cash prize and on that pretext have attempted to elicit personal information. The company said such calls are misleading and called upon its clients not to disclose any personal information via telephone calls or SMS messages. The company said all its promotion or donation campaigns are announced clearly in different newspapers and other media outlets. Also, the company calls clients winning different prizes on their mobiles without asking for any personal information.
