Alwaleed ponders China investment

Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received at his office in Riyadh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Yang Hong Lein of People's Republic of China to Saudi Arabia. Alwaleed and the ambassador discussed investment and economic issues, and way of further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, KHC said in a statement on Friday. The prince has presence in China through Citibank with assets of $8 billion. Citibank has also invested $3 billion in Guondong Bank for a 20 percent stake. Citibank has also a 3.76 percent stake in Pudong Bank which has $80 billion in assets. Alwaleed also made $2 billion investment in the Bank of China IPO through Al
