JCA honors Jotun Paints Cup winners

Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) honored the winners of the JCA Division II Championship for the Jotun Paints Cup at a prize distribution function here recently.
The morning league championship which was organized by JCA, was sponsored by Jotun Paints Company Saudi Arabia Ltd.
After the recitation from the holy Qur'an by Faisal, A.A. Merchant welcomed the chief guest Dilip Tambe, National Sales Manager Jotun Paints; Syed Muzakkir Bukhari, Key Sales Manager Jotun Paints; and other guests. He briefed the activities of JCA, thanked sponsors Jotun Paints Company and the press for their support to the JCA activities.
JCA President Mohammad Iqbal also expressed his gratitude to the sponsors and congratulated all those who won honors in the Jotun Paints Cup Championship.
Dilip Tambe appreciated the activities of JCA and lauded the committee members for sparing time for the promotion of cricket here and providing chance to expatriates to play cricket. He also promised Jotun Company's support to this kind of activities which will help maintain a healthy body and mind.

Champion – Kanoo Travel, runner-up – MMASCC, third place – ALJ, Man of the Final – Syed Kaleem of Kanoo Travel, batsman with maximum runs – Syed Kaleem of Kanoo Travel (510 runs), batsmen with highest average – Shaad Mohammad of Peeran-XI (average 53.80), Syed Kaleem of Kanoo Travel (51.00), Irfan Ashraf of Saliheen (50.16), best batting performance in a match – Syed Kaleem of Kanoo Travel (139 against MMASCC), bowler with highest wickets – Riyaz Muhammad of Kanoo Travel (20 for 226), bowlers with best bowling averages – Haroon of Saliheen (9.79), Amjad Khan of MMASCC (10.77 ), Riyaz Muhammad of Kanoo Travel (11.30), best bowling performance in a match – Babar of Al-Ghudaid-XI (6-10 against ACC), best all-rounder of the league – Tanveer of ALJ (239 runs and 19-234), best all-round performance in a match – Shaan Manzoor of MMASCC (90 runs and 4-16 against Desert Warriors), best partnership – Tanvir and Adil of ALJ (153 runs for the first wicket against Saliheen), best wicketkeeper – Syed Kaleem of Kano Travel (14 catches and 6 stumpings).
Syed Kaleem of Kanoo Travel was adjudged as the Man of Jotun Paints Cup for his extra ordinary performance with the bat and behind the wicket. He also was given a special cash award by the Kanoo management.
Plaques of appreciation were given to the Jotun Paints Company officials by JCA.
