Jeddah will host the Global Forum for Crisis Management under the theme “Rethinking in dealing with the future” from May 22-26. Twelve foreign and 15 Arab experts in crisis management and disaster are scheduled to participate in the forum. Dr. Hany Abu Rukba, secretary general of the forum, said the event aimed at identifying the most important current and upcoming crises and their effects on economy and society, in addition to building the capacity of individuals, communities, civic and public institutions to face the crises. He said discussions will also focus on the response of the international and local sectors to the global crisis. “The forum will contribute to build relationships with local, regional and international sectors, and this would help in the acquisition and development of skills to face the crisis professionally,” added Dr. Abu Rukba.
