year-old photos of Makkah will be on display Tuesday at the Bab Al-Bont Museum. Jeddah Governor Prince Misha'l Bin Majed will launch the collection at the gallery in Jeddah, which has been organized by the museum's Heritage Institution. Chairman of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities and head of the Al-Turath (heritage) Institution, Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, said the valuable photographs were taken by Dr. Muhammad Al-Husaini in Makkah during the Haj season of 1908. Prince Misha'l noted the “fruitful cooperation” with the Dominican Institute for Oriental Studies (IDEO), Cairo, an organizer of the event. He said the collection was a “window to acquaint the world with our culture”.
