Price (5-1) allowed three runs in 6 1-3 innings, striking out six. Rafael Soriano, the sixth Rays pitcher, threw a perfect ninth inning for his ninth straight save. Tampa Bay scored twice on passed balls by Angels backup catcher Ryan Budde. Los Angeles starter Jered Weaver (4-2) had a career-high 12 strikeouts in seven innings, but was charged with four runs - one earned. The Rays took two of three from the Angels for their first series win in Anaheim since 1999. Blue Jays 3, Red Sox 2: In Boston, Shaun Marcum pitched seven shutout innings, leading Toronto to a tight victory against Boston. Travis Snider homered, doubled and drove in all three runs for the Blue Jays, who had lost its previous five games against Boston. Padres beat Giants Yorvit Torrealba drove in two runs against his former team to help the San Diego Padres beat the San Francisco Giants 5-2 in Wednesday's clash of the National League West's top teams. The Padres increased their division lead over the Giants to 2 1/2 games and extended their record against the Giants this season to 5-0. San Diego's Clayton Richard (2-2) won despite allowing seven hits for the fourth time this season. Jerry Hairston Jr. hit a go-ahead RBI double in the fourth to put the Padres ahead 3-2, then Torrealba hit his second RBI single of the game in the sixth. Scott Hairston added a sacrifice fly in the seventh. San Francisco starter Matt Cain (2-2) walked six and allowed five earned runs.
