Dr. Muhammad Al-Omran, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, said the ministry will get rid of rented school buildings next year in cases where there are more than 100 boys and girls attending a school. He said education zones in the Kingdom's various regions have succeeded in getting rid of 80 percent of rented school buildings. Previously the ministry had struggled to find plots of land in the Kingdom to build schools. In addition, contractors had failed to meet deadlines to construct buildings, he said.
