Humaizi, the Supervisor General of the National Population and Housing Census, has said that census operations are on course to finish Wednesday, the scheduled deadline day for its completion. Speaking at a meeting of the local census committee in Makkah on Sunday, Al-Humaizai said that 80 percent of operations had been completed in the province. The gathering went on to discuss the various difficulties that had occurred during the work of census officials over the last two weeks, the final phase of the census field operations. Al-Humaizi said that once the Wednesday deadline had passed a final review of data would be conducted before being submitted to project administration in Riyadh for it to complete procedures and present its results. The Kingdom is conducting its 4th National Census for Population and Housing with other GCC countries as part of an agreement endorsed by the GCC supreme council.
