The driver of a vehicle on the Al-Khobar to Dammam Highway was burnt alive in his car on Monday after a collision with another led to it bursting into flames. A spokesman for the Civil Defense in the Eastern Province said that the driver of the second car was taken to hospital with “serious injuries” and firefighters were required to extinguish the blaze. The spokesman added that both of the vehicles were speeding at the time of the accident.
