Police who caught a man in the act of stealing a car in the Al-Olayya District of the capital Saturday were led to four other persons who all worked together as a gang. A patrol car spied the initial suspect who under questioning revealed that he worked with four other accomplices. He also identified the group's ringleader, who was located by police the same day in the Al-Solaimaniya District while driving a stolen vehicle. The remaining three suspects were detained later in the day and during questioning gave investigators details of their crimes, which involved numerous car thefts and thefts of mobile telephones in various parts of the city.
