Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Riyadh Region, and Chairman of the Prince Fahd Bin Salman Charity for Renal Failure Patient Care, signed here on Sunday 20 renal patient welfare agreements for cooperation with ministries and private and public bodies in the Kingdom. The agreements cover support for sports fundraising events for the charity, the provision of kidney dialysis equipment, subsidies, employment opportunities, and the establishment of university Chairs. They will also see 50 patients or close relatives over five years enroll free of charge at Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd University and seven patients receive free dialysis for a period of five years at the expense of Al-Tayar Travel Agency Group, as well as the opening of new dialysis centers at hospitals around the country. Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, supervisor of the charity, said the move would help patients and their families obtain proper health and social care. “There are over 11,000 renal failure patients in the Kingdom and that figure is expected to exceed 15,000 by 2015,” Prince Abdul Aziz said.
