Hekma College has signed an agreement with the Bab Rizq Jameel program for cooperation in social and community services through joint projects, programs, training and workshops. The recently signed agreement will see the charity and the college publish on their websites services available for women wishing to establish small businesses, seeking employment or offering to volunteer for social work. Bab Rizq Jameel Executive Director Ibrahim Badawoud said the agreement would see Dar Al-Hekma and the charity complement each other in their work. “Most people think that Bab Rizq Jameel works only with people of limited incomes, but in actuality that is only a part of what we do,” Badawoud said. “The center has many other services to support new projects and society across the board.” One of the requirements for graduation from Dar Al-Hekma College is that students compete 100 hours of community service.
