The Ministry of Education has moved to address teacher shortages by asking school supervisors, extra curricula instructors, education trustees, pupil counselors and deputy principals to carry out teaching duties. The ministry said that the measures for a swift solution to staff shortages also included a ban on teacher transfers within the same city or region unless through the ministry's transfer program, and orders for surplus teachers to be transferred directly to the nearest school with a staff shortage in the same subjects. – Okaz/SG The ministry has also requested schools to submit reports detailing the extent and nature of their shortages and have them signed by regional Teacher Affairs directors and school principals. __
