Nasr beat Al-Shabab 2-1 to secure third spot in the King's Cup at Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium Thursday. Argentinian midfielder Victor Figueroa put Nasr in the lead scoring from the spot on 10 minutes. Striker Sa'ad Al-Harthi doubled the lead for Nasr in the 39th minute before midfielder Abdu Otaif pulled one back for last year's champion Shabab. On Friday, Hilal will meet Ittihad in the final of the competition at King Fahd International Stadium. En route to the final, Hilal had defeated Al-Fateh 3-1 and 5-0 in the two-legged quarterfinals before humbling city rival Nasr 5-3 and 1-1 in the semifinals. Ittihad defeated Al-Hazm 4-1 and 0-0 in the quarterfinals. In the semis Ittihad downed Shabab 2-0 and 2-1 in the two-legged encounter. Ittihad will try to win the competition to please its fans after losing four championships this season - domestic league, Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Championship, Crown Prince Cup and the Asian Champions League. Hilal has won two titles this season - Zain Saudi League and Crown Prince Cup. It has also qualified for the round 16 of the ACL, and is desperate to add the most important domestic crown to its achievements this season.
