The Indian Engineers Forum hosted its second annual function here this week. The IEF provides a professional platform to exchange technical views and knowledge among engineers from various fields. The organization was set up under the guidance of Consul General of India, Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, with Egr. Mohammad Sayeeduddin as its president. The IEF has organized several professional and technical seminars. At the annual event, Sayeeduddin outlined the forum's vision and described engineers as nation-builders, and asked them to act as useful conduit between science and society. Engineer Sohail Khaleel meticulously conducted the event. Egr. Khursheed Usmani gave useful presentation of the TRANE products. Egr. Anjum Iqbal highlighted the changing role of engineers in the society. Dr. Suhail Ejaz Khan, Consul Haj, chaired the first session of the prestigious meeting of minds attended by nearly 200 highly respected engineering leaders, consultants, policy makers, and engineers and economists from the Western Province. Nafeesur Rahman, from Al-Rajhi Bank, gave a presentation on the growth of Indian economy and highlighted areas of possible cooperation between India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dr. Ausaf Syeed, who was the chief guest, released a beautiful souvenir of IEF to celebrate the annual function and assured his continuous support to the forum. __
