Bayern Munich striker Franck Ribery is set to miss the Champions League final after UEFA rejected an appeal against a three-match European ban Wednesday. The German club said they would appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), sport's highest tribunal, over the ruling which they described as harsh. The Frenchman was dismissed before halftime in the first leg of the semifinal against Olympique Lyon for a studs-up challenge on Lisandro Lopez and Ribery has already served one match out of the three-game suspension. “We will keep on fighting,” Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told reporters. “We're not happy with the decision here and we will take the decision to CAS in Lausanne.” UEFA said Bayern were within their rights to go to CAS.
