A medical team from King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah in the process of carrying out lung transplants operation for three patients. The lungs were donated by dead people's families in Taif and Dammam. Between 20-30 percent of patients with lung failure die as they wait for donated lungs, the last-resort treatment for lung failure, said Iskandar Al-Gethmi, a lung transplant surgeon at the hospital and King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah.
