Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) Holding Company - the Jeddah-based one-stop shop facility for all construction needs - underscores the importance of developing the national human resources for the further advancement of the economy. CPC is the Gold Sponsor of the two-day Jeddah Human Resources and Saudization Forum, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faysal, Governor of Makkah Region. It concluded on Tuesday. On the occasion, Dr. Faysal Alaquil, chairman of the Advisory Committee for the Architecture Department (Effat University) and member of Human Resources Committee at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and director of Business Development and Administrative Affairs and official spokesman of CPC, said: “The support of His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faysal to the Forum and the Assembly emphasizes the keen interest of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in building and improving the performance of national human resources at all levels, as well as the Saudization of jobs in various sectors, and thus decrease the level of unemployment.” He stressed the necessity of improving human resources to ensure the highest possible level of performance. He also pointed out that CPC, for its part, pays great attention to the importance of providing suitable working environment as an incentive to increase loyalty and productivity of workers. “Upgrading human resources is vital to ensure the highest possible level of performance in order to achieve its objectives and serve its customers, while assuring the supply of high quality products to the Saudi market, which currently witnesses significant expansion in construction area,” Dr. Alaquil said. He added that CPC's Department of Human Resources attached great importance to its task of ensuring the development of performance while at the same time protecting the good interest of the company's staff in various disciplines. Dr. Alaquil noted that CPC is the only company in the area of manufacturing of construction materials that participates in this Forum as part of its commitment to support the efforts of the Government for the development of this vital sector and increase its contribution to GDP, particularly in the expansion of the private sector and the role it plays in the ongoing development plans. “We are proud of our experience in Saudization, which confirms the company's attention to the youths and to provide them the necessary training to upgrade their career,” he noted. Moreover, CPC, through its various training programs, encourages interested youths to work in the construction materials industry. In line with the Saudization program, Dr. Alaquil also said CPC recently signed an agreement with the Human Resources Development Fund (HDF), Makkah Branch to train and recruit 490 young Saudis in its factories in the Kingdom this year. The undertaking is the latest in the series of agreements between CPC and HDF, bringing the total trainees in CPC and its factories to 2,320 in the last three years. CPC also signed similar agreements with the National Institute of Technology at Bahra and the Architecture Department of College of Engineering at Effat University. “Our efforts in this area reflects the commitment of CPC and its subsidiaries to serve the community, train and enhance the skills of the local population and support the government's efforts in developing human resources,” Dr. Alaquil pointed out.
