Saudi Business Opportunity Forum concluded on Saturday by reiterating the need for “investment in people” and supporting sustainable development through diversification and energy conservation. The four-day event held workshops and discussion sessions on a variety of subjects, from job creation and knowledge-building to energy, petrochemicals, electricity, water, infrastructure, financial markets, investment, and agriculture. One of the deals that came out of Chicago was an agreement by the Americans to help establish an entrepreneurial center in the Kingdom. This would be similar to the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, which one of its executives described as “a concierge service for business”. The Saudi Ministry of Education was represented at the forum by Deputy Minister of Education for Boys Education, Khaled Al-Sabti, and a number of US education specialists were present.
