In 2009, TIBF welcomed 776 exhibitors from 29 countries and regions and attracted 64,844 registered visitors from Japan and around the world. Participating as a theme country, Egypt participated at TIBF2009 with a huge exhibition
space presenting their latest bestsellers, magazines, and other literature. During the fair, this pavilion hosted 10 different seminars and conferences featuring Egyptian culture, art and history.
