The largest exhibition of home furnishing and furniture products in the Eastern Province, showcased by leading local, regional and international companies, opened Saturday at the Dhahran International Exhibition Center. The annual exhibition will run till May 7. This is the 16th edition of the exhibition and has attracted citizens, expatriates and visitors from neighboring Gulf states like Bahrain and Kuwait who are either buyers, connoisseurs of fine furniture, businessmen who want to know more about the new technology of furniture making, and potential entrepreneurs planning to engage in the furniture-making business. The event, called Ideal Home, exhibits finely crafted furniture and home furnishing products created by artists and experts. This profile of the exhibition is one reason why people have patronized the event for more than a decade. In addition to fine furniture, the trade show is also exhibiting a variety of home furnishing products, such as carpets, curtains, decorator items, interior design, kitchens, kitchen equipment, household equipment, bathrooms and fittings, glassware, tableware and crystal arts, crafts, antiques, electrical appliances and accessories, electronics, household appliances, garden furniture and accessories, handicrafts, lighting equipment, chandeliers, landscaping and indoor plants, varnishes and paints, wall coverings, home telecommunications, fire protection systems, swimming pool equipment, air conditioning, and heating equipment. Some 100 companies are participating in the Ideal Home show.
