GITEX KSA 2010 records stunning participation

to-business networking and consumer information and communications technology (ICT) event at Riyadh International Exhibition Centre
Inaugurated by Eng. Mohamed Jamil Bin Ahmed Mulla, Minister of Communications and IT, was the 9th such event that attracted the participation of 450 exhibitors from over 17 countries.
Mohammed Al-Hussaini, deputy general manager, Riyadh Exhibitions Company, the organizer of the event said a diverse section of visitors including IT professionals and amateurs, businessmen, representatives from various government departments, investors both Saudis and foreign have showed interest in the comprehensive lineup of telecommunications, networking, PC hardware and software, multimedia, educational and digital entertainment solutions.
GITEX 2010 KSA this year attracted more targeted and specialized batch of visitors, he said.
The huge attendance at the show aroused exhibitors passion to highlight key features of their products and services that attracted attention to developments in several niche segments, he said.
The visitors were highly impressed by the growth of Saudi Arabias niche markets such as alternative energy solutions, GIS, fiber optics, and office technologies.
He said RECs organizing of GITEX KSA is in line with the solid growth of Saudi Arabia ICT sector and the latest edition has provided a positive outlook on what we expect to be another excellent year for ICT at a national regional level, he said
Impressive attendance at GITEX KSA 2010s reflected the strong regional and international interest in the Saudi ICT market, which is expected to reach around SR13.87 billion by end of 2010 and remain the largest in the Gulf region, he said.
This year, the show concurrently hosts Saudi Communications, the 12th International Telecommunications Exhibition, which has attracted worlds leading telecommunications firms.
The biennial event focused on key business and investment opportunities across the Saudi telecommunications market and teamed up with GITEX KSA to provide a comprehensive ICT exhibition and networking platform.
