Moenpick Hotels and Resorts throughout Saudi Arabia eagerly participated in the worldwide ‘Earth Hour' held at 8:30 P.M. last March 27. The program, organized and supported by a number of major environmental groups including WWF, asked participating companies, institutions, organizations, clubs, families and individuals all over the world to turn off all non-essential lights for exactly one hour. The goal was to demonstrate that a solution to the threat of global warming is possible through collective action. M?venpick Hotels & Resorts went beyond just turning out non-essential lights. They actively encouraged staff and guests to join the initiative, and some hosted special candlelight events that were very well-received by staff and guests alike. Participating M?venpick Hotels & Resorts in Saudi Arabia included M?venpick Hotel & Resort Yanbu; M?venpick Hotel Jeddah; M?venpick Resort Al Nawras Jeddah; M?venpick Hotel & Residence Hajar Tower Makkah; Madinah M?venpick Hotel; Anwar Al Madinah M?venpick; M?venpick Hotel Khobar; and M?venpick Hotel Qassim.
