Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) singed a contract with the Deaf Club for Women in Jeddah to subsidize the sign language training for 30 journalists. The project is aimed at supporting the Deaf Club for Women in Jeddah which conducts the training courses for journalists under the auspices of Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja, minister of Information, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The contract was signed for CPC by Dr. Faysal Alaquil, director of Business Development, and Dr. Aisha Netto, a member of the Governing Council and in charge of management of social responsibility at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Alaquil expressed CPC's pride in supporting the Deaf Club for Women in Jeddah which regularly conducts sign language courses for the media to enable them to communicate with the deaf and to enable them to express their thoughts and feelings through various media outlets. “CPC is fully aware of the importance of its role, to serve the community, and to assist in the welfare the community's members of various segments as a duty rather than an option. On this basis, the company decided to support the Deaf Club for Women in Jeddah to continue its services to such a valuable segment of the community, and to enhance and support their participation in our community, he said. Meanwhile, Dr Netto stressed the significant role that major companies in Saudi Arabia play in supporting community advocacies and services within the framework for their corporate social responsibility programs. She further pointed out that Saudi Arabia needs all segments of society, including companies and individuals, to unite and to support our citizens with special needs and assist in their essential needs that would enable them to participate in their daily life. Netto, a board member of Deaf Club for Women in Jeddah, explained that the organization is chaired Prince Khaled Al-Faysal, Governor of Makkah Region, and offers many services to its members to enable them to carry out their various daily needs.
