Nasr won 4-1 over Real Madrid in a friendly match played to honor the Saudi football legend Majed Abdullah at the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh on Tuesday. Robben took the lead for the visitors after the break before Malek Al-Hawsawi drew level. Iraq's Nashat Akaram, who joined Al-Nasr for this match, doubled the lead for the Saudi side soon after Al-Hawsawi's goal while Saud Kariri made it 3-1. Al-Hawsawi sealed the win for Al-Nasr in the injury time. The match witnessed a show before the kick-off where Majed Abdullah was received by a large number of Saudi fans who packed the stadium about seven hours before the game. Majed Abdullah was the first Saudi player to score in the King Fahd Stadium when he found the target against an Austrian team in a friendly match in 1988. Brazilian Robinho had the first attempt in the match when he received the ball from Julio Baptista but the young striker's attempt ended in the hands of Al-Nasr goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Daeyea. Real Madrid stars failed to create threats on Al-Nasr side, thanks to the solid defense which closed all gaps to Daeyea's net. Meanwhile, Nashat Akram and Egypt's Hosni Abd Rabo worked hard in the midfield to make scoring chances for the only striker of Al-Nasr, Rayan Bilal. In the 30th minute, the legend Majed Abdullah replaced Bilal in the frontline with heavy applause from the fans who packed the 70,000 capacity stadium. Majed showed some good skills against Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas but he failed to score. After the break, Al-Ahli striker Malek Al-Hawsawi replaced Majed who waved to the fans to mark his 20-year history with his team Al-Nasr with a great testimonial match against Real Madird. Real Madrid coach also made some changes in his squad as he fielded Arjen Robben, Mahamadou Diarra and Fabio Cannavaro. Five minutes after the break, the Spanish team took the lead through Robben who connected Michel Salgado's cross into the net of Al-Daeyea. The goal forced Al-Nasr to press forward and the team equalized four minutes later with Al-Hawsawi hitting the net of substitute goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek. Al-Nasr continued its pressure on Real Madrid and doubled the score two minutes after the equalizer through Akaram. In the 61st minute, Al-Ittihad skipper Saud Kariri made it 3-1 for Al-Nasr as he headed in off a corner kick. Al-Hawsawi ended guests' hopes as he completed the tally in the dying minute.
