David Price threw a four-hitter for his first complete game, while John Jaso and Jason Bartlett had two RBIs apiece as the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Toronto Blue Jays 6-0 on Sunday. Price (3-1) struck out nine and walked one. He improved to 9-1 in his career against the AL East. Carlos Pena opened the fifth by drawing Tampa Bay's sixth walk off Brandon Morrow (1-2) and then went to third when B.J. Upton got the Rays first hit, a double to right. After Pat Burrell struck out, Jaso hit a two-run single. Blue Jays catcher Jose Molina threw out a runner trying to steal second – including Carl Crawford twice – in each of the first four innings. The four runners thrown out attempting to steal in the same game by Molina set a Toronto team record. It was the first time a catcher has thrown out four runners attempting to steal in one game since Florida's Charles Johnson did it against Montreal on Sept. 18, 2002. Angels 8, Yankees 4: At Anaheim, Bobby Abreu and Kendry Morales homered and Brandon Wood drove in the go-ahead runs with a bases-loaded double as the Angels handed New York its first series loss of the season. Scott Kazmir (2-1) gave up two home runs – including his third to Robinson Cano this season – but got the win after allowing four runs, three hits and four walks in 5 1-3 innings. Javier Vazquez (1-3) threw 78 pitches in just 3 2-3 innings, giving up five runs, five hits and three walks. The 33-year-old right-hander hasn't made it through the sixth in any of his four starts, surrendering 20 runs in 20 innings. New York had won its first five series, including a three-game set against the Angels in the Bronx. White Sox 3, Mariners 2: At Chicago, Paul Konerko hit a tiebreaking drive in the eighth inning for his major league-best eighth homer as the White Sox completed a three-game series sweep. John Danks pitched eight sharp innings for Chicago, allowing two runs and eight hits. Danks (3-0) was coming off a strong eight-inning outing in a victory over Tampa Bay. After consecutive days of game-ending homers by Andruw Jones and Alex Rios, Konerko connected against Brandon League (2-1) to put the White Sox ahead 3-2. He has homered in three straight games. Royals 4, Twins 3: At Kansas City, Jose Guillen homered and drove in two runs to support Brian Bannister and help the Royals avoid a three-game sweep. Guillen hit his seventh homer in the fifth inning and Bannister (1-1) escaped a baserunner-filled game by scattering nine hits over 6 1-3 innings. Kansas City's beleaguered bullpen had some shaky moments before Joakim Soria closed out the ninth for his fifth save. Justin Morneau hit his fourth homer and had a run-scoring double off Soria in the ninth, but the Twins stranded 12 runners _ four in the last two innings. Orioles 7, Red Sox 6, 10 innings: At Boston, Rhyne Hughes singled in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning and Matt Wieters followed with a two-run single, helping Baltimore snap a 10-game losing streak against the Red Sox with its third win of the season. Miguel Tejada added a two-run homer for Baltimore, which overcame a 4-1 deficit to avoid its fourth straight series sweep against the Red Sox. Jim Johnson (1-1) allowed two runs in the bottom of the 10th, and had to leave with runners on first and second. Cla Meredith got the final two outs for his first save. Rangers 8, Tigers 4: At Arlington, Michael Young had three hits and drove in five runs and David Murphy homered for Texas.
