The Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) on Tuesday deplored the desecration of the Noble Qur'an by a US soldier in Iraq. A spokesman of the OIC general secretariat here strongly deplored the US soldier's action of using a copy of the Holy Qur'an for target practice. The spokesman appreciated the prompt disciplinary action taken by US army commander against the soldier by relieving him of his duty and for issuing a statement of apology. __
