GITEX KSA 2010 opens in Riyadh

Eng. Mohamed Jamil Bin Ahmed Mulla, Minister of Communications and Information Technology opened Sunday GITEX KSA 2010, a premier business-to-business networking event and a leading consumer ICT exhibition at Riyadh International Exhibition Center.
After opening the show Jameel Mulla took a brief tour of the exhibition displaying a wide array of new technology innovations, including Rapid Deployment Units, Alternate Wind and Solar Energy Solution for powering sites, Fiber Optic Turnkey Services, GIS, signaling and telecommunications solutions, BTS Monitoring Devices, interactive technology services, and theatre rigging systems.
Over 450 leading companies from over 17 countries are participating at GITEX KSA 2010, which concurrently runs Saudi Communications 2010.
The event has showcased a comprehensive range of ICT products and services
Among the leading companies participating in the event Epson has introduce a new projector range, including a selection of installation, desktop and portable solutions at GITEX KSA 2010.
GITEX KSA 2010 is aimed at providing a more convenient and conducive platform to demonstrate the advanced functionalities of its imaging, scanning and printing technology solutions.
Other innovative products unveiled at the event include a new line of wireless projectors and the latest 3LCD technology projectors designed for various sectors, including educational, healthcare and banking. Epson is also showcasing its scanning and printing solutions, particularly the new Business Inkjet printers and color laser printers that have been developed to save on total cost of purchases.
Apart from national companies some of leading international manufactures from countries China, Egypt, Germany, India, Jordan, Korea, Lebanon, Pakistan, Singapore, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, the UAE, UK, USA have set up their stands that showcase the latest in technology and cost-effective ICT solutions.
The visitors at the Mobily stand can find a number of new products and services.
According to an official of REC, the organizer of the event the diverse selection of premium-quality products and services provides trade visitors and buyers with a wide range of choices to explore the best solutions for their respective ICT requirements.
The overwhelming response from the exhibitors including international and regional companies confirmed their sustained interest in Saudi Arabia ICT sector, he said.
The event sponsored by the Saudi Telecom Company (STC) offers a complete range of telecommunications equipment, systems, networking, IT solutions, software/programs, office automation, PCs and laptops, mobile phones, multimedia devices, educational tools and digital entertainment solutions.
Over 100,000 local and foreign visitors ranging from potential buyers, dealers, major business owners, IT professionals and government decision makers are expected to attend the event.
